We are team of engineers working mainly in UAV industry. Mechanical drive unit used in our heliostat, was originally created for needs of long range infrared camera tracking system.
There was many requirements for this project like robust, and compact design, resistance to high temperature variation, wind gusts, dust, and payloads exceeding 100 kilograms.
After successful development we came to the conclusion that such a system can be used in much wider range of applications. Could it also work as solar tracker? It surely can! The key property which is very high accuracy was a massive overkill for such a simple task though. Beside that, constantly dropping price of solar panels makes it not really viable at economic standpoint. Then another idea comes - how about a long range heliostat? After some considerations we set goal to create heliostat that will be in a class of its own.
Adapting our product for its new task introduce us to many challenges - lowering power consumption, developing advanced leveling procedures, remote control functionality, adopting complex celestial algorithms and mirror reflection equations - to only name a few.
After over 4 years of development we are finally happy with final form of our product.

We are not technically a company yet. One reason is that we have good, satisfying jobs. Other is to not add unnecessary costs to already expensive product. Nevertheless at some near future we will set full - time production.
